Looking for a used 1108418 starter for my 72 Nova with a date code of January 72 or A-72? Anyone have one or know someone who might have a big inventory of starters if they might have one to sell. Again has to be a January 72 date code.

I recently purchased a restored original dated starter and water pump from Ron at Chevycool - link below. So far no issues.

Would this be correct for a Flint engine build cast date of January 27th 1972? This picture shows December 1971- 9th day, am i correct? I thought L was Dec?

M is Dec. I am not sure if it is close enough being 79 days before the engine.

L stood for November,They didn't use the letter I.

I think the confusion comes from items that were cast like waterpumps, intakes, heads used the letter I. Alternators, distributors, starters etc did not use the letter I.
