Not really settled. Lots of depate.

We had one just 15 miles from us a couple months ago, and absolutely no wells in that area. There are some areas that had an inordinate amount of activity from 2005 to about 2012 where there were lots of wells, and lots of injection... and fracking (which is the other thing that gets blamed for earthquakes in OK). I remember visiting the Science Museum in OKC as a young boy and learning that Oklahoma has more earthquakes than most other states (including CA!!!) but that they were simply much less severe.

Sadly, as with so many things these days, the lines get drawn around folks' political leanings more than research and hard data. Almost everyone conducting "research" has an agenda. Kind of like when Phillip Morris did most of the research on smoking.
