Hate to be "that guy" Bill; but.... a "Beemer" is a BMW motorcycle, and a "Bimmer" is a BMW car.
Does it matter in the grand scheme of things? Probably not.
Mark Twain, when speaking of himself in the third person, stated: "Well, also he will notice in the course of time, as his reading goes on, that the difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter—’tis the difference between the lightning-bug and the lightning."
Twain later acknowledged some semi-plagiarism from his good friend, Josh Billing, who had said something similar many years earlier.
