Assuming the 12 bolt you have is for multi leaf, the 3 leaf set up will be a good choice too. Single leaf 12 bolt was a '67 only axle.

Default Leaf spring help

The 12 bolt I have is for multi leaf application it did come from a 68 camaro . Trying to stay away from the single mono leaf due to wheel hop under heavy acceleration.
The 3 leaf idea sounds good lots of threads on other forums where camaro owners have mentioned they like there 3 leaf Hotchkin springs. I did talk with Eaton springs this morning they recommend a 5 leaf spring rate of 126.
