^ agreed. If it was say, a half day’s drive or less, it could be a spur of the moment trip.
Lucky opportunity for anyone nearby for sure. To visit that collection is certainly a bucket list item. |

Ran some flights, etc last night. About 3k for 2 seats to Portland R/T, rental car to Salem, 2 nights hotel, meals, gas, etc.
With more time to plan, it would be more enjoyable to come in a day early, sight see Portland and stay a day in Salem on the backside too.
