Interesting, never realized that. Odd the Camaro didn't have that as an option, as my '66 Chevelle and '67 C10 has them...
Anyway, do you know if the Firebird had the right side mirror ? The setback should be the same to clear the vent window post.

They were an accessory but never an option. I had one on my 69. Took it off & filled the holes during restoration. It was installed by somebody before me, but in the same location from LH to RH. I never could see out of it safely & it was an actual RH mirror. I would think if you were planning on using the mirror, it would need to be mounted to please the driver...Joe
