I think his confusion on the listing about the IPO maybe a late release of the stock and it being retracted before hitting the exchange.
![]() ![]() But seriously, the confusion with him on his info may be on the body buck tag. The VIN shows 7T02C, meaning 1967 Metuchen NJ built, Fastback, with a 200hp 2bbl 289 engine. What the body buck tag shows is a K so maybe he assumes it was a K-Code (HiPo 289) engine not realizing that is the color code of the car, Nightmist Blue. Looking at this tag, it decodes as follows (I’m going by memory…): X - customer ordered car (I think, versus a dealer order which shows D) 213 - rotation number (the 213th car built that day) 30 - Welding Bay number where assembled 821 - August 21st build 7T02Cxxxxxx - VIN 63A - Fastback, standard interior (although one will note it was outfitted with the Deluxe brushed aluminum dash trim at some point) K - Nightmist Blue 2A - standard black vinyl bucket interior SP - Stereo Premimum (AM/FM) DB - Disk brakes A couple things to note: plastic cowl cover. That means rotted cowl which means rotted floors and rotted torque box. Interior shot showing upper door jamb and rust hole in jamb. Look at the engine bay: how did the cowl to firewall pinch weld get so dented up? ![]() Hopefully that helps! ![]() Cheers Dave |
