They did not allow the fiberglass ducted hood on Camaros in the Trans-Am series but I have seen them in use on Camaros in SCCA A/Sedan. The pic below shows a steel ducted hood in use on a '69 Penske Camaro. The A/Sedan class had some slightly different rules than Trans-Am. They were still allowed to leave of the bumpers even after Trans-Am wanted them left on. They also were not mandated to use fuel cells until several years after Trans-Am had required them.
