hi bruce. I hope this is working. The next one is my 1967 corvette, 427-400 horse, 4 speed which i traded the 68 pontiac in on at the new old car trade centre on bay st. In toronto in oct 1968. The 68 turned only 5000 miles when i traded it. I also have the bill of sale for this one showing that i traded the pontiac in on it. They were not the most reputable dealer, but what would i know as i just turned 20 and thought everyone was honest. They told me at the time it was a 435 hrs car but someone in its first year had installed the solid lifter cam and an ansen scatter shield. This car recently went under a body off restoration by an acquaintance of mine and has since been resold. Doug

tired yet? A friend of mine showed up in the spring of 1971 i think, with a 1968 corvette, red on red, 427-400 hrs 4 speed car. Murray wanted my copo chevelle and said if i gave him $1000 he would trade me cars.



This seemed like a pretty good deal as the chevelle was $5,100 in 69 and the corvette was likely in the $6,700 range one year earlier so i made the trade. I have a couple of pictures when i bought at which time it was a red colour that i was not fond of, so i changed it. These were just used cars back then so it was, at that time, of no consequence. well, are you sick of this yet. I did mention i had many. The next one is my favourite car other than the copo. It was a 1965 corvette that was on the isca circuit that i purchased in about 1975-6. As far as i am personally concerned this turned out to be one of the neatest cars i have ever owned or seen, however, definitely not for everyone. I'll likely send two sets of pictures because i don't think my computer allows me to attach any more than four. The first set will be of when i first purchased the car with an incredible paint job, not that i liked it, which is why i did the car over. If i remember correctly the body work was done by someone named mouse landon, however i only heard this from the person i purchased it from and i have never heard that name in any other context. It appears i didn't scan all of the pictures i have when i purchased it so i will fix that at some point. The last picture is after i did the car over. Doug

these are the 65 custom after i finished it in 1976 or 77. I went looking for this a few years ago and found it. The gentleman that has it is doing a restomod car however it has a stock front end on it which just doesn't do it for me compared to what it was. I had hoped i would find it in its original condition so i could repurchase it. By the way, i have every bill of sale for every car i am showing you as well as many others for cars like my old tigers, broncos, etc. Doug

this next one is also one of my favourite cars. It was a 1966 corvette 427-425 hrs speed that i purchased in 1972 and eventually sold it in 1979 or so. I had this car painted twice and my friend who i sold it to, and work on all of this stuff, owned it up until about 6 months ago did a body off restoration on it. Doug

the next one is my 1963 fuelie corvette 4 spd and 4:11 gear that i bought in 1981. I think it might have had original paint at the time but i wasn't sure. I started a body off on this one but sold it when i took a job out of the city i am in now with a law firm in london. I should definitely have kept this one. Doug

this is another one that i still have. I found the car for my brother in 1976 and bought it from him in 1986. We did a good clean up, or body on restoration if you will, a few years ago. My brother liked the green colour of my stratochief so he repainted this one in that colour. I returned it to the proper colour. I pulled the original engine and had sent it into the machine shop for a freshen up and stuck an extra 70 402 in it for the time with a 375 hrs cam. I haven't even reinstalled the engine yet; its wrapped in cellophane sitting on a cart beside the car. The car again is canadian only, being a 1968 beaumont sd, 396-350 hrs, turbo 400, power disc brakes, ps, tinted glass, am-fm, vinyl top, wood grain dash, power windows, tinted glass, red lines, fibre optics, rear defogger, all documented by gm vintage services. The pictures are from 1978 when i was building a garage at one of my houses. Doug

if you are interested this is how the last car looks now. I have a lot of current pictures of my existing cars but i'm not sure where they are. My computer self destructed last summer and i have to find them. If this set exists i would have thought all of the resto pictures of the stratochief would have as well and the 69 chevelle ss we are working on now. If i find them i'll send you a few.
