Other than the CE Suffix ‘57 Production 265’s, didn’t long-block CE’s sold over counter first appear sometime in ‘68 and Assembly Suffix engines like ‘ID’ L72’s as above example what was supplied before then, often later too? Obviously, many specific Assembly engines sold over counter are much in demand today w/ Factory Build/Suffix Stampings and NO VIN, especially certain dates. To clarify, ‘68 and later CE’s sold over counter = Chevrolet Engine, NOT Counter Exchange or Counter Engine etc. ![]() ~ Pete .
