----The header bar that all the headlight stuff is mounted on is a two piece steel unit riveted together with aluminum rivets. Depending on the elements (salt, moisture, etc.) those rivets swell upward and push the hood suround up. If just sanded down the bumps will just return, so the real fix becomes a much bigger job as the whole assembly has to get yanked and repaired correctly....Bill S

That is neat having a history, but the car appears so clean and straight, that it deserves a high end paint job. I know a survivor is a survivor, but that paint would too far gone for me to live with.
