What is a restored 307 Malibu worth? Gotta be less than 45k.

Yeah, that's a 20k car all day long, as is, and probably why it ended up in CA. No one around here was going to pay more than that for it, even with it being a convertible. The 4 speed is the only other note worthy feature and seems like a waste behind a 307 2 barrel engine...
