I have an original, and also have a reproduction unit from Corvette Central. Put them side x side and they are perfectly uniform and don't have tabs.

I have this one if interested.
It has a spot where I glass beaded that has isolated pitting. With one quick wipe of Polyester it's gone! $60.00 shipped
