These types of comparisons are always difficult. Any type of Muscle car with a 4 speed will always trump an Automatic with the vast majority of collectors. The 3-speed automatic in this car is a step up from the ST300 used in the GTO. Although as more years pass the Pontiacs with the factory 3x2 units using the complex Vacuum linkage are disappearing. That’s what makes this car so unique. The 8-lugs are such a cool/rare wheel, so having them on this ‘66 2+2 would be a big plus. So a 4-speed with 8-lugs would definitely command more $$$$. The production numbers are close with the transmissions on the 421 HO. This car in question does have a host of other very desirable options that should help with the sale. I would ask Grant’s valued opinion. Chris
