Ya I believe they also "ALLOW" BBc to use an aftermarket block as the OEM "512" usually "could" get to about 511 to 526 is about the pushing max inch limit.
I do think my ZL1 (475 inch) powered '69 Nova (for now) will push me well passed the 9.50 mark. BUT we have headers and will use slicks and a few other things they don't like in that series. I built the car as a sorta day 1.5 of what "could" be done with mostly factory stuff and a bit of "normal-for-the-times" aftermarket stuff. I never planned to run the series and have a few chats with some of them and go input from Dudek and Carey. As well as the guys at BES that did Lanes stuff.

It is amazing how quick they run on the stock size tires.
