I cringed when I watched it. Too many folks around.
Doing a burn out in your driveway with no one around is cool. I can even understand on a street with no traffic and no pedestrians. This is just irresponsible. Too much can go wrong.

The image of that Viper loosing it and hitting the pole is still fresh and I was hoping this wasn't a repeat.

That's something stupid I would have done in my late teens or early 20's that I wouldn't even consider at 50. I must be getting old because my favorite to do in that scenario now is to let everyone think I'm going to light'em up then just slowly idle away and let them wonder what might have been.

I'm getting up there in age and still enjoy doing that kind of stuff, IF the opportunity presents itself and I have some room. Even dad will do that and he's in his mid 70's LOL. In fact I might have been guilty of it a few weeks ago at a local cruise
![]() I sure miss that back east where it was more prevalent. Every Friday night at the local Frisch's it was pretty much routine for everyone to lay a little rubber when they left. The property was fenced in and out front was St Rt 32 which is a 55 mph highway so it was perfect for that sort of thing. Everyone just hung on the fence when it got late and everyone started leaving. It was funny when particular cars got ready to leave suddenly everyone would get over to the fence. Good times. |

"IF the opportunity presents itself and I have some room."
I admit, there is a time and a place. In a crowd is not the time nor the place.

Actually, that video didn't look all that bad, with most of the street people just on one side and they were 20-30 feet away. Everyone else was behind the car.
I've certainly seen a lot worse with people literally arms reach away. Of course we usually don't have 2000+ HP cars leaving a show and doing that either so.... ![]() |

I get the safety issue, and I'll leave that for another conversation; I will say, however, that thing sounded SICK, wow.

Up here in Ontario it's considered "stunt driving".Big fine and impound your car for 30 days. And I'm sure your insurance rates go up big time!

Curious why do vehicles running alcohol idle with the vrump............vrump..........vrump sound? Is it something to do with the fuel, the fuel delivery or?

Nothing to do with the fuel, it's the blower governor. They can be set for a smoother idle, but then it wouldn't sound as impressive. It's all part of the show.
