1969 Camaro Orange windlace, paint issue
So Englishtown swap meet was this weekend and surprisingly there were a number of 1st gen Camaro used parts sellers, plus a few with vert parts, amazing! I saw 2 sets of clear vert qtr windows, both sets in very nice shape. Did not need clear glass, but it was good to see. Picked up some good stuff including these Orange painted windlace.
They are original factory black ones painted with a very sturdy Orange paint, very nice shape except for the missing clip and the paint. I would like to remove the paint for resale. Has anyone been successful with stripping paint from these without messing up the vinyl?

I don't now what kind of vinyl/plastic they are made of, but the Purple stuff cleaner has worked great for me on plastic trim, grills etc., for removing paint. I have used it full strength and soaked the parts in it for several hours. The paint just peals and floats away.

Steve, Yes I thought of that. Had some used Purple stuff and tried an end overnight, no luck, like I stuck it in water. I have to get some fresh stuff and try it again. thx

Soak 'em in lacquer thinner for a few hours.
