There was a board member who had 1000 of them manufactured at his local plastic extruder, I asked about them a few months ago and he said he kept enough to do his cars and then gave the rest away to guys needing them.
I asked the cost - $600 for 1000 pcs. (last time I saw 3 originals for sale the price was $100) I know it's not ideal however if you want I will contact him.
