1964 GTO at work
I just came across these pics I took last summer. Guy bought this GTO and it had a pull to one side. He had it to 2 other alignment shops that couldn't fix it. He brought to Centerline and once the alignment tech brought up the readings, he knew it, most likely, had a diamond. So, on the rack it went for measurement and sure enough. The last pic is what happens to a freshly painted frame that isn't checked/straightened before restoration...

Is that an anchor point to attach the frame machine?

Yes, they weld plates on to hold the long side and pull the short side forward.

Wow, that bites, but what a beautiful looking GTO. I rarely see 64's and 65's out in the wild, unfortunately, they were cool looking.

Yeah, it is rare around here too. The frame guy is good about cleaning off the weld nicely and we use Sem semi gloss black to repaint. It matched quite well. The owner was very happy his car steered straight afterward.

Repaired many diamond frames over my time . Tale tale sign is the rear bumper is useally back further on the impact side. I still remember my first diamond frame was a 1973 ford LTD i repaired in 1975.
