I wonder how much of the BJ COPO was actually on that used car lot back in 1970. The BJ writeup did say donor body and non-OEM trim tag. So maybe just the VIN plate was at Mussallem's back in 1970?

As stated in a previous post, the original owner traded it in on a Chevelle for personal reasons. When I tested it in May 1970, no doubt it was a real and complete COPO. It was originally restored about 1998. The person who restored it found the engine first, then tracked down the car, and reunited the two. It was then sold a few years later, and to the best of my knowledge it has had at least 3 or 4 owners since. How it is described now is not how I knew it to be when it left B.C. - Dale

It was a year old. Not even Canadian rust is that bad!
