Ok, you got me on that one. What is a California modified W-27 cover?

I used be at Hansel Olds most every day in the late 70's, early 80's-since I worked at Hardin Olds. We'd dealer trade parts every day

Great question. One of the fins on the aluminum W-27 cover had to be removed (instructions in the PIM IIRC) to allow for the additional fuel line which was required for California cars.
