Stickers & Details
Working on some little stuff on the car. Sept. of 69 build so my understanding is that it would have a VIN sticker in drivers door jamb. Does this sticker get placed between the two horizontal ribs like my mock-up? Is tire pressure in about the right spot? I also ended up with an MN engine sticker. Did they actually put them on at factory or is that like the caution fan sticker? If correct, where should it be placed. I don't want to "over-sticker" this thing, but if there at factory, then I'll do it.
Also picked up this vintage line lock. Any tips on cleaning these without messing up the gold plating? The front end looks like it was painted black originally, can anyone confirm that?

Door jamb stickers look right.
If not mistaken the MN sticker would be on the rear of the pass side valve cover. Facing the firewall.

Thanks for the input. Anyone have thoughts on cleaning that line lock?

Plug the end and set it in about 1" of evaporust to clean the rust off the casting- but don't submerge the gold. Evaporust removes oxidation and TECHNICALLY that is what the gold is. Passivation is a forced oxidation.
I would put some evaporust on a rag and wipe the gold don't submerge it.
