You can bring it and be easy on it. There is no rule that you have to run it hard. Some guys just make easy passes just for the fun of it. I've asked several people to join us, but some of them tell me that they don't want to abuse their cars. I try to explain that they don't have to beat on them just to have a little fun. Casey had so much fun with his Stinger a few years ago and it was running 20s. I don't think anybody had any more fun than him that year. A lot of guys show up and never make a pass. They just show off their awesome cars in the pits. Last year we had a Motion Camaro that was not finished. It was parked next to me in the pits and people came by all day to look at it.

I hear ya Freddie, but knowing myself, there is no way I wouldn't want to turn that beast loose. I could leave the wrinkle walls at home and abuse the street tires a "little". Oh, I also have a pair of Towel City Pie Crust cheater slicks I bought for the '54 gasser I was going to build. They are on the back in the pic I posted...hmmmm.....now you got me going... ![]() I need to go out and pull the brake drums on the trailer to see if I need to replace the brakes. They didn't seem to be helping much when I brought the '54 home last weekend.

![]() Trailer brakes are toast, over greased and broken wires. Ordered all 4 NEW backing plates.
Next remembery issue is the car has never been aligned since I had the frame powder coated. I just tape measured and level plumbed it when I assembled it. Might not be fun fighting a severe pull at 100 mph. I'll check with the shop manager in the morning and see if they can squeeze it in before the 20th. It's nice having a state of the art, laser, alignment rack and VERY experienced rack man at my disposal... ![]()
