1970 Chevy Holley Carb List 4557 LS6 454 L78 396 4 Speed Camaro Chevelle Nova

This is a very nice survivor Holley List 4557 carburetor. This was used on 1970 L78 396/375HP and LS6 454/450HP engines backed by a 4 speed transmission. The date code is 9B1 as shown which decodes as the 1st week of December, 1969. This is a very hard to find date.

This carb is in very good survivor condition as shown. The plating is original and looks very nice as shown. All parts move freely. The gaskets appear to be original. The only flaw I see is the rear vent tube boss had a split in it so I used metal reinforced epoxy to ensure the tube stays put. Of course, the carb will need to be rebuild before use. This is an awesome survivor carb.
