The nos grills sold over the counter were in fact 68 grills and they are slightly different as mentioned by travinz28.

I posted this question on team Camaro too and got no response.
Guess I'm going to be a test person again, as I just ordered the whole kit from HBC to replace all my damaged/worn parts at one time. They have a very good sale price right now, if anyone else is interested.

The NOS grille I bought a long time ago does have the slight step difference of the '68, but not enough to be concerned with. I toyed with buying the whole repro grill too, but elected to save that cost for other needed parts and just bought the bezels.

Should be here late next week and I will open and inspect everything and see if it all looks as good as they claim.

We are experiencing the coldest, sub zero, weather of this winter over the next several days, so I HOPE the shipper doesn't throw this around and break plastic parts.

I'm working on replacing the right rear quarter, tail and extension panels. Gonna be a while before I get to the front of the car. I only bought the kit at the time I did for the price.

I will say it all looks good upon inspection, but that doesn't mean much if it doesn't fit, eh ?
