On clear nights, lights twinkle on the horizon just outside the hip Texan town of Marfa, and they’ve been baffling onlookers for more than 135 years. The bright orbs throb or, some say, move across the sky. Even James Dean, in Marfa filming the movie Giant, was spooked and captivated by the still-unexplained phenomenon. Theories on what they are include UFOs, ghosts of Spanish conquistadors and car headlights.

I was only one of the original members of the NCC but not a founder. I was co-founder of North American Super Sports however. You are likely thinking of Dean Ribich who at the time owned the survivor 70 LS6 Chevelle nick named the "Benchmark Chevelle". Dean was a members of the club at one time when it originally started and I believe one of the first club gatherings took place it his home. I believe this photo was taken at that very gathering.

OK, yeah, the Benchmark Chevelle. I've seen pics of the first meeting at his house, in the rain.
I've been a member for about 10 years only. Derek, a co-founder, is still active. I went to MCACN for the first time with him 3 years ago. Like everyone else here, I was really looking forward to the 50th anniversary of the 1970 models.

I believe Derek introduced me to you at that show if memory serves me. If I recall I was with a customer's car but don't recall which one.
