Do nose pieces have casting numbers? I have only seen the Application Number stamped in the steel body. The Motors Books ( I have a few) have starter Applications numbers in them, but not much info about the nose.

No. There may be i.d. numbers on them, but nothing like casting numbers as used on blocks/heads etc.
