do you have a buddy in mechanic shop or bodyshop? they get a good discount..all the shops ive ever worked at let us have it for cost, as long as it was on a cash ticket

This is exactly how you do it ! Usually all you need is a purchase order from a Mechanic/repair shop . And you can get it at wholesale cost w/no sales tax , probably deliver it to the shop too?
