Find it a bit hard to believe that the dealerships weren't properly schooled on how to properly hoist the new Vette given the radical weight distribution change from the prior model.? Maybe they were, human error.? Tough to look at, but I'm sure he'll get a new one

While on a smaller scale, I put my sons air cooled bug on the 2 post lift without any issue. I tend to like to have a full tank of gas in it to offset that a bit (tank is up front) But it's very stable on the lift. I like to rock it back and forth after I get it a couple inches off the ground just to make sure before it goes all the way up.

Wouldn't bet on that dealership doing squat.....but then again... it depends.
I remember years ago where someone in Delaware took his brand new ZL1 Camaro in for some warranty work......left it there over the weekend (if it were mine, no way in hell would I have done that)..... Well someone who worked in the shop thought it would be cool to take it for a Sunday drive and proceeded to total the car. The dealership tried to screw the owner over by looking for another used ZL1 that wasn't close to what he had. It was a mess. Ended up another dealership from another state heard about what happened - stepped in and made it good.....I'm sure it made for some great publicity for that dealership. I was floored by that ending, but I'm sure there is more to the story than what I just mentioned... Either way, I hope the guy with the C8 gets treated well by that dealership. That was John Hooper's Camaro. He wrote "The 1969 Camaro Reference Book".

I guess if the frame isn't all bent up, it might be repairable.
But falling off a lift......ehhhhh I don't know. It'll be interesting to see what it'll go for. |
