I have loops welded on the frame of the race car and I have axle straps. I use the axle straps instead of the loops so the shocks aren’t tied down with pressure on them while transporting. The straps haven’t damaged any paint on the rear housing or front crossmember. I’m not a big fan of the wheel tie downs because of the skinny front tires, the low pressure rear slicks and the fact that you can’t crisscross to eliminate and sideways motion. Lots of theories on securing a car in/on a trailer, just make sure you choose one that is safe.
