I think that's the 71 or 72 and up upper PS adjuster with that square hole for adding belt tension with a breaker bar - the first year (70) ones didn't have that for sure. And that reservoir is not the original (to 1970 or even 1969) banjo type - it's newer / a likely OTC reman unit. IMHO.
Still likely has value to someone though. (that is the one year only 70 upper alternator bracket) Be interesting to see if the lower is flat or creased. Cheers all. |

Good old 396 2 bbl engine. Low horsepower, good torque and used for pulling. I understand this engine was used in some 69 Impala's back in the day also. No big value on the 396 engine. I bought one years back just to build a 396. Cast crank, 148 open chamber heads, forged rods, nothing special.
