Since someone mentioned wheels (and tires)...
Was out driving my 69 this weekend and developed a bad shimmy. Pretty sure I threw a wheel weight or I have a belt separating. Tires are old and probably need to be replaced anyway from a safety standpoint. But when I went hunting for a set of 14-inch white letter radials, I got a rude awakening. Very little available, especially in the size I want - 245-60R14. TA Radials were about the only thing I could find in that size, a few more options for 235's, but I like the way the 245's fill the fenders. Anyone know of any other options? Car gets driven regularly, so not really interested in going back to a reproduction bias. |

yes it is very difficult to find a more performance sized lower profile tire in 14 inch these days. Even just a F70 ish size tire (215x70x14) are getting difficult to locate in a radial ...MAYBE Diamondback classics, but it may be a shaved BF Goodrich?
