Agreed Bill, they certainly were one of the great performance dealers of the era. On my car, it had Z28 stripes painted on at the dealer. This was on the dealer invoice and other paperwork I got with the car. Do you know if any other 9561s got the stripe treatment? Hope all is well, Clint

I'm 20 miles from the Dale site and have been involved in the hobby for going on 45 years. It is rare to encounter a Dale car [know of one L78 Camaro] in the area. The people that worked there only recall the #7 ZL1, the house race car for a short time.
In addition to the Dale COPOs, Yunker Chev [35 miles] and Hult’s Chev [75 miles] were Yenko franchisees. There were at least 29 COPO Camaros, 6-8 COPO Chevelles and a 427 Nova or two sold in this area. Other than one Chevelle and a dozen or so Camaros, the remainder are in the wind. I’m certain that a few of them still exist in the area, parked for decades just like the orange/orange COPO.

Congratulations Doug! Circumstances beyond my control led to the sale of this fabulous car but it was one heck of a ride while it lasted, my only regret is we didn't get the 427 back in it. Like Bill, I hope you don't restore it either but it's out of my hands now, I do want see some pics when the 427 is going back in it though, good luck!
