H/O's were rated 360hp and 3.55 was standard issue
RamAir were under-rated @ 360hp and 4.33 More than likely he would have been bragging more about the whopperjack exhaust manifolds more than anything, if he had a real H/O or RamAir car. And knew the car. A lot of guys will pick the highest horse as being theirs. But who knows, it might have been a 326 Lemans with a GTO hood and emblems. Shame it wasn't impressive, regardless. ![]() |

Had a lot a cars in the 60/70 days, but looking back at all of them (camaros, novas, vette, fords, mopar) best all around muscle car I had was a 69 GTO. That car was just plain reliable, easy driving, and quick enough to enjoy.

My father bought his new, still has it. It was the family car for a couple decades, over 200k miles before he finally rebuilt/restored it. I'd bet if you ask him he'd tell you it's the best all around car he's ever had.

The Olds 4-4-2 And when you think about how gorgeous the '70 was, and how much horsepower it had, all I can think about is how it puts the Mopars to shame. True, by 1970 many cars caught up with the Olds, with many now having a rear-sway bar, but maybe only the GSX could compare with the mix of qualities of the 4-4-2. I think the original poster as well as others should focus on what you believe the strengths your make or model have. To disparage other cars is a no win situation.
Suggesting any make or model is the best is only an opinion and that opens you up to plenty of opinions ( we all have our personal favorites). The last few post are quite disparaging and will delete some that are rude and personal. If we can't have a reasonable discussion moving forward, I will lock and/or delete the thread.

Yes your right Steve.
I actually looked to see if I could lock it being the thread starter, but I can not. Apologies to the members and the forum. John
