Well I for one have little choice. I put more into our restoration than I make in several years. Even though it is heavily insured its not about the money. Add to it that it rolls on 50 year old tires and it pretty much inhibits me from driving it. That and the fact that I have never owned a car of this caliber and want to keep it this way. I know it is a waste to have a car sit, believe me but I have little choice at the moment.

Yes the Trailer Queen argument is a tough one because some people see it as a waste of a car. Driving a valuable car however is a calculated risk.

I have a garage and a building full of cars and memorabilia. Some people call it a museum. I see the cars and the stuff as art, and like most of us many are stored in car capsules. Some are prepped for long term storage, some I drive. The ones I drive do have 35 to 50 year old tires and some are tubed for safety and inspected

Like you I have committed to the preservation of the cars and the history and that's what I like. Some guys like to get them out and bang gears and roast the tires.

To each his own.

If I win the lottery I'm going to get an LS6 convertible, have you restore it and then beat it like a rented mule.

BTW, did you came by my house(in GA) a dozen years ago or so and buy a lift or two?
