Latest update: I found the owner from 1977 who placed the ad in the LA Times. He's the one who painted the car black and put the MR Z28 plates on it. His name is Larry Bienz and he graduated from Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, CA in 1976. It sounded like it was black before he graduated. I have so far not been able to get any photos. He told me the car had the 302 in it at that time. I was given the name of the person he bought it from and unfortunately no luck with pics there either. Anybody here from Garden Grove remember the car?
