For some reason I gravitate towards the Challenger over a Cuda

I bought a 71 Convertible that came with a 340 and the original owner added a T/A hood and six pack to the car. I had no idea that the 340 was the highest performance convertible in 71.

Being not that versed in Challengers I wanted to add a shaker hood to match a Citron Yella Hemi Challenger that I have and learned how different the 71 hood was, originals are almost impossible to find. There were fibreglass reproductions available.
The crumple zones as discussed are different on the original hoods.

Without original paperwork or knowledge on the trim tags, documenting an original shaker hood car is tough.

Not sure how much an original shaker adds but it's a desirable option.....10-20% I'd say.
