You've reminded me there used to be a hill climb in Empire, Michigan (which after a long hiatus is once again gaining traction).
Our friend Fred Meissinger used to run an early Z with a crossram. Fred was a GM executive and was plant manager of the Adrian Manufacturing plant when he retired. Fred passed away about 10 years ago. Fred Meissinger and car, at Empire, Michigan: ![]() ![]() (Me - about to put a super tune on Fred's car; Dad is coming over the fence to prevent me from putting a super tune on Fred's car): ![]() Fred's friend Denny Hall was always right behind him: ![]() Denny was director of GM's Advanced Manufacturing Engineering when he retired. He is still living up by Houghton Lake last I knew. I took these with one of those old Brownie box cameras. K
