i contacted him recently in my research of our special order paint car from dana chevrolet. According to my friend dave herlinger (current owner of james garner l88 #45 that bob ordered new ) he had a few conversations with bob regarding the special paint cars. He said that bob ordered many of them and it cost less then like $100 to do so and was able to get a pretty good premium for them. Bob told me that he helped dana order some of the dana special paint cars but didn’t have any specific info on them. He may have specific info on the clippenger cars though.
