It should go down as one of the great, great racing movies of all time. They fudge many "timeline" details for dramatic effect (seeming to forget that Lee Iaccoca gave Carroll Shelby money and engines for the Cobra in 1962 and putting their "first meeting" in the movie to well AFTER Shelby American's Cobra was a success already in '63-64). And there's the niggling on-screen attention to detail things (Cooper Cobra GTS radial tires being rolled around in the Ford pits at LeMans in '66 on the Halibrand knock-offs is a hilarious gaffe, as well as Corvettes wearing 1965-67 factory style side-pipes and big-block Stinger hoods at what is supposed to be Willow Springs in '63 or '64.)

Those are tiny things in the grand scheme of a movie that was obviously made with respect for its story and historical characters, has real heart and little visible CGI. And the sound in IMAX is just glorious, I'm definitely gonna go again...and again...Ken Miles FOREVER!
