The 4th owner who provided this photo with the USA-1 plate on the rear of the car approx 1975. Melvin contacted me this weekend he found the old USA-1 plate when he was cleaning out his shop. The USA-1 plate and hopefully some Drag racing trophies will be reunited with the car.

I believe those centerline wheels came out approx 1978. Thats about how long they have been with this car.

Cool car. Can't wait to see the progress on this. I just read through this whole thread again. Is it being restored back it original? Does it still have it's original drivetrain? It looks like it was raced quite a bit early on, but it doesn't appear to have ever been to radical. Did it even have a roll bar? I can't really see one in any of the photos.

We have been working with previous owners to the whereabouts of the motor and transmission....and with Matt’s help and persistence have made some headway. The car retains it’s original BE dated 11-19 as I recall which is the earliest known date... this date has been found in early ZL1’s and 01B Yenkos. This car is 1 of 10 OG X66 Yenkos. The car never had a roll bar in it and the interior is beautiful.

Very cool Matt. That was when Melvin was wheeling the car. I see the E.T. at 7.57. Groovy

Tear down has begun. Notice the factory rocker panel blackout line on the lower cowl.
