Knowing the issue is more than half the battle.

I have to focus to ensure I don’t end up moving ahead with upgrades.... SFI flywheel, blow proof, HD clutch fork, heim join linkages, etc, etc. Not yet!!!

I am pretty disappointed to see the wear on the clutch fork.... not sure how this occurred? Adjustment? Soft part?

Tenacity wins every time!!

I had a new pilot bushing made at 1.383” OD and added a circlip back to the crank groove. Then I reinstalled the clutch, PP, Bell, fork, and....... the transmission!!!!!

Reminder: Add oil.

I pushed in the clutch and there is no binding, I was concerned as I had to draw it in due to my poor alignment tool.

Reminder: buy used 27 Spline input shaft.

I am headed back to the road soon.

PS: this clutch fork has wear every point of contact and all were greased and it has a whopping 500 miles :-(

More time in the garage tonight.

I installed the speedo, driveshaft, crossmember, added oil, shifter installed and adjusted, adjusted the clutch a little bit.

Took it for a little test drive on the ramps and jack stands (she’s solid in the air and I didn’t make any hasty movements.

Trans sounded and acted and felt perfect. (Happy)

Note: I need to recheck oil after a little test drive.

It shifts!!! The shifty shifter shifts!! I double checked the oil in the trans and took it for a test drive. All feels very good. I may do a little check of the shifter and lube it a little but all’s well!!! Huge thanks to Nick Morocco and Craig Wright!!! They got me back on track!!! Now I will be able to have the car shiny for the Bone Stock and Modified Muscle Cars Magazine photo shoot this week. (She needs a bath) the video is just easy going through the gears to get everything lubricated.

So last night we had an awesome car related get together.

The Stagers and the Weavers were all together and a local sharp shooter automotive photographer Kenny Kroeker photographed the car and several group shots. I can’t wait to see these photos. We all went out to dinner after taking day light photos and then Kenny and I took the car to a close by feed mill and he took pictures beside a huge puddle so he could capture the car with special lighting techniques and also capture the reflection.

The group shot will be the winner for me but he can make prints on aluminum, lexan, canvas, or wood.... guess I am buying a print :-)

The photo shoot was for Bone Stock and Modified Muscle Car Magazine. Terry Denomme (Owner/editor) will write the story. (I better start a summary page for him)
