There are two black fan styles... one black fan with the corners knocked off the fan (45 deg angle cut) and the other black fan with squared corners (like the white fan)

Going through this with my 71 corvette and my brother's 73 Z28 /73 L82 vette --
My 71 has white opaque... I was looking at a 72 which had 72 pumps had black fans with SQUARED ENDS.

I recently purchased a set off off a early 72 Chevrolet Pickup and the pump is dated 30112S (301st day 1971) and it has a white fan... would be interesting to know the swap over time frame when they changed the smog pump fan.
