The 'C' is for M-22...the rest of the stamping indicates January 21st, 1969 assembly date. So, does that VIN stamp match the deck stamp on the block and does the date line-up with cowl tag??
Maybe this is an original big block car that someone installed a small block ![]() I would like to see the listing and the photos...

That would explain the trans and rear gear, although the BB engine code would be on the POP (if real)

Maybe a possibility they could order a M22 trans through the dealer request? I have heard of stories like this people asked the dealer if they could add something that was not listed.
