1969 Camaro, born-with 396ci 375hp L78 motor, TH400, GM of Canada docs. Hugger orange with Ivory interior.
I bought this car at Barrett-Jackson in 2006 and completed a "sympathetic restoration" to as-delivered condition per the GM of Canada docs. I added restored dated correct "Eric carb", "Macneish smog", "Hornworks horns", full set XT dog dish wheels, NOS antenna, dated glass, dated restored starter, exhaust manifolds, jack ass'y, voltage regulator, and so on. New engine and dash wiring harnesses, new SS hood, repainted the car and restored the original trunk. I didn't do that stuff to make money or flip the car -- I just felt the car was very special and it's an honor to restore and preserve the car to the best of my abilities and finances. I would describe the condition as a solid #2 with some work to finish but still a damn nice original solid lifter big block car in a very desirable color combination and great documentation. I'm now at the point where I have to exit the hobby and downsize. As much as I'd like to finish "one more thing", I have to face reality and start adulting. The car hasn't been driven in a decade. The pictures below were taken today: May 23 2019 I have over $100K in the car but I realize the automatic transmission hurts its value and there's still work to do. I don't expect to get my money back. I would like the car to go to someone who will treasure it as I have. Asking $80K. Car is located in South Lake Tahoe, California about an hour south of Reno and two hours northeast of Sacramento. |

Nice car... gotta like those colours! Where was the car originally sold? Kelly, a fella here in Calgary, had an L78 with the same colours and I seem to recall his being an auto. I’m wondering if it was the same car? Good luck!!
