I didn't think you could get a vinyl top from the factory in 1963, just painted. What was the first year vinyl tops were offered on any make of car?

I had a 63 SS that was black with a white vinyl top, I knew the original owner, and they never said anything about it being added. It also had stainless strips on the rear that made it look like a convertible (just like that one).

----You could get a vinyl top in 63. It actually liked like convertible top material. I've only seen maybe two or three since 1963 though.....Bill S
