Mine have the rivets, and unless I'm mistaken, the assembly-line plates on all first-gen years had them too. Used to be how to spot reproductions, since they had no rivets, the Fisher carriage windows were the wrong size, and the finish was too shiny. Later reproductions included the rivets, but I haven't seen any close up to spot other differences or improvements.
EDIT: I *think* that later GM service replacement also lacked the rivets, so some NOS parts may not be assembly-line correct either.
