Good eye. This is the original cross member for this car. Yenko Deuces (4 speeds at least) all had them. I suppose it is something that Don wanted or perhaps Chevrolet COPO required it as the LT1 had never been put in a Nova before. Guru Marlin Spotts probably has better insight.

Don, do you mean transmission mounting brackets? The engine mounts are SB mounts and I just don’t remember if any unique trans mount was used with my Deuce. This is a question for Schonye (resotorer and original owner-still- of a SY Deuce) or Marlin Spotts ( the keeper of the Deuce Registiry).

I was wondering the same thing. If it has a big block transmission cross member, does it also have the big block frame stands for the motor mounts?
