CCF code is for a 1970 3.31 posi rear. Believe that would be for a 396 car as the 454 equipped would have CRV coded 3.31 rear. Difference between the two was larger yoke of CRV rear for the 454 engine.

The 41-11 gears in it now are 3.73, so original gears changed out at some point. My guess on value is $1,800 or so depending on condition.

And/or the CRU open 3.31 rear for the 454 cars. I agree with you on the value as that is closer to reality.

Just to add clarification, this rear was optional on any 1970 Chevrolet A-body with big-block, for example 1970 Monte Carlo or El Camino models with LS3 402, so this was not necessarily SS-specific.
