|    Tomatoes need refrigerating When you bought them, did you get them from a refrigerator? Nope. Keep tomatoes on the kitchen worktop out of direct sunlight and once ripe eat within 3-5 days. To speed up the ripening process, place the tomatoes in a paper bag with an apple, which releases ripening ethylene gas. |
